Next consideration is size or diameter of the ball. Usually these balls come in 38mm size but you can also find 40mm and 44mm size balls. The reason behind why players choose large size balls is, large balls have more air resistance which in turn slows down their speed and a slow ball is easier to locate for both players as well as the viewers. Color is also a concern since colors also helps in locating a fast moving ball. White is the usual color of Ping Pong Balls but players prefer orange colored balls.
